Owner and Trainer of 4th Demention

I am the owner and trainer of 4th Demention in addition to one of the pet-sitters and am a Colorado native though I grew up in Arkansas. During undergraduate school, I participated in several marine mammal care and training internships where I developed my passion for the care of animals and operant conditioning based training. After undergraduate school, I attended graduate school in Dania Beach, Florida and earned a master’s degree in Marine Biology. While in graduate school, I worked as a canine obedience instructor and my passion for training canines grew and grew.

Once I finished graduate school, I moved to the Washington DC area where I found myself working as a veterinary assistant for extra income while continuing my career as a canine obedience instructor. In the veterinary world, I found how my two paths overlapped in many ways and wanted to combine them. I also developed a love for the emergency and critical care field. Soon, I started working toward my veterinary technician certification.

After I became a certified veterinary technician I began working in the field full time while using my background in behavior to aid in the care of my patients. I also started pet-sitting on the side for fellow co-workers, veterinarians, and clients. Next, I began developing my business plan for what would be my dream company.

Today

Maintaining certifications is important to me as is working towards more to make sure my skills are up to the highest standards. As the owner and trainer of 4th Demention, I am always expanding my knowledge and learning new skills. I aim to keep competitive among all of the other pet-sitting and training companies in the area.

In my free time, you can find me outdoors either hiking, camping, and/or fishing. I also enjoy a show and a good meal at the theater with friends. At home you’ll find my two cats Percey and Rufio, and Merv.
