How do we contact you? There are several ways to get in contact with the team. You can reach us through email or phone using the contact page on this website or through the Time to Pet app if you are currently a client.

How much do you charge? Current price ranges can be found under the “Services” tab. There are separate pages for pet-sitting, training classes (in-home or at Longmont Small Animal Hospital) and dog-walking.

What is your availability for Pet-sitting? Dog training? Dog-walking?

All scheduling for services is done through an application called Time to Pet which clients are given access to after their initial consultation. A request for services is made and then approved based on the availability of a team member for that service and the date(s) requested. A schedule for group training classes can be found under the “Services” tab and sign-ups for those classes MUST be made by emailing or calling Kristi directly.

What certifications do you have that make you the perfect choice to hire? Kristi is a certified veterinary technician, a certified professional pet sitter, and a certified professional dog trainer. She is also a canine good citizen evaluator and belongs to a variety of professional organizations. Other team members are pet CPR and First Aid certified and have the opportunity to earn other certifications as they grow within the company.

What experience do you have that makes you qualified to be a pet-sitter and an obedience trainer?  Kristi has experience as a veterinary technician, training in pet first aid and CPR, and several years working with positive reinforcement training. She has studied fear free training and fear free veterinary techniques with pets in order to reduce fear, anxiety and stress. What type of payments do you accept? Cash, Check, Venmo payments, and all major credit cards.

 

What is CPPS?  It stands for Certified Professional Pet Sitter.  You must pass an exam and obtain 30 continuing education units every 3 years to remain eligible to hold the title. This designation recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct themselves as professional pet sitters, encourages education and professional development in the pet sitting industry, and offers a standard of excellence in pet sitting by which the pet care industry and the public at large can more readily recognize the professionalism, care and responsibility that are the hallmarks of a true professional pet sitter.

What is CPDT-KA?  It stands for Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed. You must pass an exam and obtain 36 continuing education units every 3 years to remain eligible to hold the title. Earning this certification shows that you have passed rigorous standards for knowledge and skills in science-based dog training.

What is CVT?  It stands for Certified Veterinary Technician.  You must pass an exam and obtain continuing education units based upon the state that you live in. This certification gives you a higher level of education and skill to aid veterinarians in taking care of animals in veterinary hospitals.

What type of training methods do you use in your sessions? Positive reinforcement training using operant conditioning. If your pet is not treat motivated then we would try to find what motivates them, whether that is a toy, play sessions, praise, or some other type of reward.
